La artista y investigadora sueca Anna Katarina Martin, presenta en el Museo de la Ciudad de Móstoles, del 14 de abril al 20 de mayo, la instalación Secuencias. La propuesta ha sido inaugurada esta tarde por la Alcaldesa, Noelia Posse, acompañada por la artista, el Concejal de Cultura, Alex Martín, el Teniente de Alcaldesa, David Muñoz, la Concejala de Desarrollo Urbano, Marisa Ruiz, y la Portavoz de Podemos, Mónica Monterreal. Los trabajos de Anna Katarina transitan espacios híbridos y ambiguos que se sitúan dentro de la creación sonora experimental. Trabaja con diferentes aspectos de la materia sonora y las grabaciones de campo en entornos y parajes naturales muy diferentes, como ámbito rural de Aragón, Valencia y Catalunya o la reserva natural de las Rías Baixas, atestiguan su conocimiento por los sonidos en diferentes contextos en una experiencia única. Desarrolla su actividad artística en Madrid y trabaja de mediadora cultural para la Comunidad de Madrid; conceptualiza, diseña y realiza programas de dinamización y mediación en museos y centros de arte. Entre 2016 a 2019 formó parte del Laboratorio de sonido – Tecnologías de lo sonoro y Streamlab, emitiendo en streaming los encuentros AVLAB-GRS (Grupo de Resistencia Sonora) en Medialab-Prado. Actualmente realiza su investigación doctoral en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UCM, bajo la tutela de Beatriz Fernández Ruiz y Gloria Duran. |
The Swedish artist and researcher Anna Katarina Martin, presents at the Museum of the City of Móstoles, from April 14 to May 20, the installation Sequences. The proposal was inaugurated this afternoon by the Mayor, Noelia Posse, accompanied by the artist, the Councilor for Culture, Alex Martín, the Deputy Mayor, David Muñoz, the Councilor for Urban Development, Marisa Ruiz, and the Speaker of Podemos, Monica Monterreal. Anna Katarina's works travel through hybrid and ambiguous spaces which situates them within experimental sound creation.She works with different aspects of sound matter and field recordings in very different environments and natural settings, such as rural areas of Aragon, Valencia and Catalonia or the Rías Baixas nature reserve, attest to her knowledge of sounds in different contexts in a unique experience. She develops her artistic activity in Madrid and works as a cultural mediator for the Community of Madrid; she conceptualizes, designs and carries out stimulation and mediation programs in museums and art centers. Between 2016 and 2019 she took part of the Sound Laboratory - Sound Technologies and Streamlab, broadcasting the AVLAB-GRS (Grupo de Resistencia Sonora) meetings in Medialab-Prado in streaming. She is currently doing her PhD studies and research at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UCM, under the tutelage of Beatriz Fernández Ruiz and Gloria Duran. |

A partir de un trabajo previo sobre la relación existente entre la intimidad escogida conscientemente y el proceso creativo, articular una reflexión acerca del contexto que rodea la producción artística desde una perspectiva de género. Virginia Woolf no solo veía la creación de las mujeres como un “no poder hacer, sino como un hacer diferente”. Nunca pudo quitarse de la cabeza "el sonido" de su propia escritura. Esta propuesta expositiva enfatiza lo sonoro. Llenar una habitación con sonido. Dejar la puerta abierta con la idea de invitar a otras, llenarlo con sus historias, sus voces. Un susurro en un lugar determinado que conforma el cuerpo sonoro y el contexto de estas piezas. Se ha elegido llamar las obras Secuencias: una serie de obras específicas cuyos conceptos se relacionan con el arte sonoro y la realización de interpretaciones breves. Obras que se muestran durante un cierto período de tiempo. La intención es una forma de escucha del espacio. Si la obra cambia a otro lugar, el trabajo ya no es el mismo, está en constante cambio. Como en el sentido alemán de klangkunst, se convierte en un puente entre el arte sonoro, la acústica espacial y la percepción. Una reflexion colectiva y conjunta sobre la construcción del conocimiento a través de la escucha. La escucha como elemento transversal de diferentes disciplinas y como herramienta básica para la transformación de la educación y el aprendizaje. “Escucha todo el tiempo y sé consciente cuando no lo estés haciendo” (Pauline Oliveros) En una habitación, poder sentarte, escuchar el afuera y el adentro, los pequeños elementos mezclados con las propias señales del cuerpo. Trabajar con las secuelas y las distorsiones acústicas de los sonidos del lugar. Sobre todo, lo fácil, lo directo, con rasgos neodadaistas, como las vibraciones de baja frecuencia que crean las tranvías y hacen las copas de vino en una mesa vibrar. |
[ENG] Sequences#2 Based on a previous work on the relationship between consciously chosen intimacy and the creative process, define and relate to artistic production from a gender perspective. Virginia Woolf didin´t just see the creation of women as a "not being able to do, but as a different do". She could never get rid of her head "the sound" of her own writing. This showcase emphasizes the sound. Fill a room with sounds. Leave the door open and the idea ofinviting others, fill and ocupy a space with their stories, their voices. A blurry whisper in a certain place which conform to shapes and the context of these pieces. The works are titled Sequences: a series of specific pieces conceptually related to sound art and the ejecuting of short interpretations. Works that are displayed for a certain period of time. The intention is a way of listening to the space. If the work changes to another place, work is no longer the same, it is constantly changing. As in German sense of Klangkunst, it becomes a bridge between sound art, spatial acoustics and perception.A collective and comun reflection on the construction of knowledge through listening. Listens to it as a transverse element of different disciplines and as a basic tool for the transformation of education and learning. "Listen all the time and be conscious when you are not doing it" (Pauline Oliveros) in a room, being able to sit down, listen to the outside and inside, the small elements mixed with the body's own signs. Work with the acoustic sequences and the sound distortions of the place.
