The voice of the other (a feminist and love)
When Federica Montseny met his future partner Germinal Esgleas, he was in jail. To communicate with each other, they used a book where they stressed words and in this poetic way, they could declare their love in a codified form.
The work is the memory of a character who looks for himself in the middle of a constant transformation, between social conflicts, wars, exile ... In this love story in exile, Federica Montseny and Germinal Esgleas, as figures that move constantly , in a world that is falling apart and to which we must stand.
The book becomes the main element of the installation, in sound format with underlined words representing this first declaration of youth love, a free love, inside the prison. The installation consists of the book on a table and two speakers with paneled sound creating a conversation faced with two voices, one male and one female. The text of the interview on how this encrypted declaration of love was created.

For a free love
It makes me interested in this issue, that is, love inside bars, in prison, for the fact of their own deprivation of liberty and, first of all, to emphasize that women, when they understand Federica, “until now they had been that the man had wanted them to be ”, a deplorable situation that she aspired to change: from now on, the woman had to follow her own will.
For them, he wrote about a hundred small works, full of his ideology and focused mainly on love or sexual problems, and on his conception of how women should be. In the present social order there is still no possible solution to the mutual problem of the two sexes and it is essential to consolidate the feminine personality and the humanization, naturalization, of the sexes. The idea that human beings do not behave according to their true nature, freedom and happiness do not exist, except as exceptions.
What I would like to underline and record in my work are these, his ideas, of how he exists for the restless and the misfits, for those who live, in a word, for those who, in another world, before another moral, before any morally they would poeticize, impulse and create a wonderful, diverse and multiple life of feeling, sensibility and intellect, an intense and complete life of the insatiable thirst and hunger for infinity.
